Committee Description
  • Program Book
Selling of ads, arrangement and printing the program book. Need to start by March selling the ads and the program book printed to sell by the first game. The Program Book consisted of Varsity Team Roster, Team Picture/individual pictures, captains, mangers, coaches/bio’s, trainer and all teams game schedule w/ homecoming-senior night dates and their year T-shirt saying. The past Varsity years records, a message from Coach Steuerwald, code of conduct and a message from the Booster Club. Team pictures of Modified, Freshman, JV, all levels of the cheerleader’s squad, dance team & color guard.
  • Video

Creation of a Varsity high-light film, usually set to music, made from clips of actual game films from the season. May also include candid film shots, short interviews, and film clips from practices and scrimmages
  • ShenNet
Updating the Shen Football Booster Club website during the season.
  • Union-Endicott scrimmage luncheon
Arranging for luncheon after the scrimmage for both teams players and coaches.
  • Pot Luck Dinner
Once the team is announced sometime in late August, we hold a pot-luck dinner to meet the players and families. This is one of Coach Steuerwald’s events. Arranged a place, food, drinks, desert and invitations. The Board will set the agenda.
  • Concession Stand
At least two parents are needed to run the concession stand. Have to have the two concession stands clean up before the season and supplied and maintain inventory during the season for Modified, Freshman, JV and Varsity football games. Have to have both concession stands ready for customers by game time (food, drinks ready and training staff).
  • Apparel
Arranging apparel for all the teams and their families. Have the apparel ready by the Potluck Dinner
  • Reserved Seating
Reserve seating at the Varsity games for Varsity player’s families. Selling and arranging reserved seating by the first Varsity home game.
  • Chain Gang

At every home game (req. 3 people).
  • Fifty/Fifty
Selling of 50/50 during Varsity Home Games. Responsible for supplying 50/50 tickets, getting set up and staffing.
  • Liaison Coordinator (Varsity)
This is one of the Vice President duties. Liaison Coordinator helps coordinator between the Board and the other team liaisons to help at all team games in the concession stand, apparel, raffle/fundraising etc. Staff Varsity parents to work in the concession stand at the JV games and to make sure that the Varsity games are cover with JV & Cheerleaders parents to help in the two concession stand, selling 50/50 and program books and to Greet the Team.
  • Modified Team Liaison
Coordinator of their team (players, parents, coaches, game roster, addresses/emails, apparel, raffle/fundraising activities, etc.), work in the concession stand at their games and the Modified Banquet (food & coaches gifts).
  • Freshman Team Liaison
Coordinator of their team, (players, parents, coaches, game roster, addresses/emails, apparel, raffle/fundraising activities, etc.) work in the concession stand at their games, Freshman Team Banquet (food & coaches gifts).
  • JV Team Liaison
Coordinator of their team (players, parents, coaches, game roster, addresses/emails, apparel, raffle/fundraising activities, etc), helping out in the two concessions stand at the Varsity home games. Also selling 50/50 and program books at the Varsity home games.
  • Cheerleader Liaison

Coordinator with all cheerleader squads (cheerleaders, parents, coaches, roster, addresses/emails) Varsity Cheerleaders parents help working at the concession stand, selling 50/50 and Greet the Team at the Varsity home games.
  • Greet the Team

The Varsity Cheerleaders Liaison organizes the function and staffs it. After every home game except Homecoming we get together at the High School cafeteria to cheer on our team. Pizza, soft drinks, bake stuff are offered to the football players and cheerleaders.
  • Homecoming/Senior Night
Junior parents help with this event. Arranging a photographer and flowers, plus organizing all the seniors and their parents to be on the field before the football game by alphabetic order (football players, cheerleaders, dance team and color guard).
  • Scrapbook
(Varsity Board Member will be on this committee) Collecting all kinds of news articles on the team season and arranging them in a scrapbook. The scrapbook is one of the player gifts. Start collecting the news articles and arranging them as soon as possible. The Scrapbook consisted of all the seasons news articles from all the local newspapers, Team Roster, Team/ individual pictures, captains, managers, coaches, trainer, Varsity cheerleaders squad picture. Game pictures from Union-Endicott scrimmage to the last game. Pictures from the Potluck Dinner, Pasta Dinner, Homecoming, Senior Night and fans etc. Their year T-shirt quote, the names of game captains and their Senior Bowl Jr. Plainsmen Team Picture etc.
  • Pasta Dinner
Pasta dinners are held on Sunday afternoons at volunteer players home before players go to watch films at the school. Everyone contributes to the meal. These dinners are a lot of fun for the players and everyone who is involved. The host provides the main course, the Booster Club provides paper products, and drinks and other volunteers bring food, snacks and dessert etc. Have sign up sheets to host the pasta dinners and who is bringing the food etc. Also to make sure that a flyer with the host address and directions go out to the players by that week’s game.
  • Varsity Annual Team Breakfast
At least two volunteers need to arrange this special event that is held in end of September for the Varsity players and coaches only. Responsible for setting a date, location, guest speaker/gift, invitations, donations of the food, cooks and servers.
  • Varsity Football Banquet
Arranging the Annual Football Banquet that is held at the end of the season. Responsible for setting up a date, location, invitations/attendance, Menu, programs for the dinner and awards, guest speaker, and decorations. The Board takes care of the gifts.
  • Wal-Mart fundraiser
Arranging date and players to be in front of Wal-Mart for donations.
Raffle/fundraisers – Arranging fundraising.
